Tamworth Borough Coat of Arms

The Borough Coat of Arms crest sees the Tamworth Shield supported by the crowned lion, representing Staffordshire, and the chained bear representing Warwickshire.

Tamworth was situated in both counties until 1889. The crest is headed by a representation of Tamworth Castle, behind crossed swords, standing for the office of Champion of England, held by the Marmion family.
