Join the Rotary Santa Stroll

The Rotary Club of Tamworth will be holding their first Tamworth Santa Stroll on Saturday 19th November 2011 around Tamworth Town Centre.

The event is for local individuals, organisations and charities to enter their own teams into the walk to raise money by sponsorship for Rotary Santa’s Charities and, or their own good causes.

Start Time
The walk will commence at 4.45pm in front of Tamworth War memorial, outside St Editha’s Church.  Able-bodied walkers will be invited to start first, followed by, the dog walkers (on leads please), the pushchairs, wheel chairs etc.

Check-in will be open from 3.00pm.  We recommend you plan to be at the event start by 4.15pm.

The event will be on tarmac roads and footpaths around the Town Centre, so your footwear should be suitable for these bearing in mind it is November and may have been raining recently or frosty.

To complete the one and a quarter miles it will be necessary to complete three and two thirds laps of the course.  You will be expected to count your own completed laps, although it is perfectly acceptable for you to complete just one lap, or less, if you want.#

The finish will be out side Yates Wine Lodge, Lower Gungate Tamworth B79 7AF, where all Santa’s will congregate to await the arrival of the real Rotary Santa, who they will follow into the town square to be part of the Town’s Switching on Ceremonies.
