At tonight’s monthly meeting of the Conservative controlled town council, the new budget was voted through unanimously with no increase in the council tax for the third year in a row. The budget will see a total expenditure of £78,424 with a precept* of £57,872 for 2012/13.
Leader of the Town Council , Cllr Andrew James, said, “I am very happy for the third year in a row we are able to announce a 0% rise in the council tax for Fazeley Town Council.”
The new budget will be place from April 1st.
* Fazeley Town Council receives its precept annually from Lichfield District Council and the money comes from the council tax collected by the District Council
