PCC Accompanies Police Officers on Drugs Raids

Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Ellis, accompanied Police Officers in the early hours of yesterday morning in Burton-upon-Tent, as part of Operation Nemesis.

Following several raids across the town, 12 men and 1 woman have appeared at Burton-on-Trent Magistrates Court after being charged with serious drugs supply offences.

There were a total of 16 arrests yesterday morning and of the remaining 3, 1 remains in custody to be questioned by detectives, 1 woman has been released and faces no further action and a male has been bailed pending further investigation.
