Labour’s Hypocrisy Over Academies

hypocrisyThe hypocrisy of the Labour Party shows no bounds, back in January 2009 when they controlled both Government and Staffordshire County Council Labour Party councillors voted in favour of both Queen Elizabeth Mercian school and Woodhouse High school becoming academies.

Yet at the last full meeting of Staffordshire County Council in July, some of those same councillors moved a motion attacking academy schools in Staffordshire.

I’m sure the motion was moved because memories fade after 4½ years and not because the motion is line with the hard-line National Union of Teachers nationwide policy against academy schools who just happen to be one of Labour’s many union paymasters.
